Marijuana Revenue in Las Vegas Will Go Over $15 Billion in 2020

Marijuana Revenue in Las Vegas

Did you know that people in Nevada are spending more money on marijuana than on video games? In fact, it is expected that the pot industry surpasses the NFL’s profit of $15 billion by the end of 2020. The legal cannabis industry in Las Vegas is growing rapidly.

Selling recreational marijuana in Las Vegas became legal almost two years ago, and since then, the industry has been growing fast. Some predictions show that it can surpass some major businesses next year.

The proof of that progress is Planet 13, which opened its doors last year in November. They are the biggest pot dispensary in the world, and they have to expand their capacity because of the market demands. Planet 13 plans to broaden their fields for more than 110,000 square feet.

According to statistics from Marijuana Business Factbook, people in Las Vegas are spending more money on marijuana than ever. Pot revenue is starting to match or even exceed the earnings of big industries. For example, Taco Bell earns around $10.8 billion a year, and last year, the cannabis industry earned $8.6 billion by selling legal marijuana and $10 billion for medical marijuana.
